Counselor in Training (CIT) Program (Weeks 1 AND 2, 3 AND 4, 5 AND 6, 7 AND 8)
*Full-day, two-week program
Counselors in Training (CITs) assist our camp counselors with the day-to-day operation of the camp from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. every day. CIT's commit to a two-week program in order to get the most our of their time with us. They are assigned to a specific camp group and stay with that camp group throughout the entire session, so that they can form bonds with both the campers and the counselors. They play with the younger campers, help move them around campus, run errands for the counselors, help present programming and projects, and participate in team building and bonding activities with the other CITs. This will include meetings, games and projects, off-site trips, and group lunches. CITs are able to swim when their assigned group does.
CITs are an integral and important part of our programming, helping to bridge the gap between camper and counselor. In recognition of their hard work CITs are paid a small stipend at the end of their session, $50 for every two-week session.
