Bus Transportation from Capitol Hill  (AM Bus and 4PM Bus) 

Fee: $240 one-way and $480 roundtrip/session

Please note: Sessions 1 and 2 are prorated – No camp on Friday, June 19 and Friday, July 3!

Burgundy is happy to offer bus transportation for camp families commuting from Washington, DC, with service focused in the Capitol Hill/Eastern Market area—making camp mornings and afternoons easier and more convenient for busy families. We operate two buses, each serving a designated pickup and drop-off location near Eastern Market.  You can register for the bus just like you woudl for a camp, and you can find the bus registration under “Additional Programs”.  

Buses stop at Brent Elementary School and Catharine Watkins Elementary School, with families selecting their preferred stop at registration. Campers should arrive 10 minutes early, as buses cannot wait beyond a brief window and schedules may vary slightly due to traffic. The Camp Office will notify families by email if there are any timing changes.

Camper safety is our top priority. If a parent is delayed at pickup, the camper will remain safely on the bus while the Camp Office contacts the family to coordinate next steps. Campers are never left unattended and are only released to a designated adult.

Brent Elementary School:  301 North Carolina Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003 – on the North Carolina Ave side of the school

Catherine Watkins Elementary School: 420 12th St SE, Washington DC 20003 – on the 12th St side in front of the main entrance

Please note: Bus pick-up and drop-off times are approximate, and campers should arrive at their stop 10 minutes early to ensure a smooth departure. All campers must be accompanied by an adult at morning pick-up and met by an adult at afternoon drop-off. If a bus is running early or late, or if there are any changes to the route or destination, families of registered riders will be notified by email.
