Unlock your potential and take the first step toward becoming a camp counselor in our exciting Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Leadership Program at Burgundy! Designed for kids ages 12-15 (rising 7th – 10th grades), this dynamic program offers a hands-on, immersive experience where you’ll gain valuable leadership skills, real-world responsibility, and the chance to have a positive impact on our camp community.

As a CIT, you’ll work side by side with our experienced, veteran counselors, learning the ins and outs of camp life from those who know it best. You’ll receive mentorship and guidance from a dedicated CIT Director and seasoned counselors who are invested in your success. Together, you’ll support campers, lead activities, and assist in daily camp operations—all while building your own leadership skills and confidence.

Throughout the program, CITs will participate in meaningful training sessions that include essential life skills such as First Aid, CPR, and AED certification, Babysitting Certification, resume writing, and much more. You’ll not only learn how to keep kids safe and engaged, but you’ll also develop crucial skills that will set you apart in future roles, whether in the workplace or as a future leader in your community.

But the CIT program is more than just learning new skills—it’s about building lasting friendships and forming connections with your fellow CITs. You’ll bond over shared experiences, teamwork, and the challenges that come with your new responsibilities. Together, you’ll support one another as you take on leadership roles, gain experience, and grow into young leaders.

As a CIT, you’ll be entrusted with real responsibilities—helping lead activities, mentoring younger campers, and contributing to the overall success of the camp experience. Every day is an opportunity to make a difference, learn from others, and develop your leadership abilities in a supportive environment.

At the end of the CIT program, you’ll not only walk away with valuable training and experience, but you’ll also be on track to be hired as a camp counselor when you turn 16. Whether you’re looking to jumpstart a future in education, recreation, or leadership, the CIT program at Camp Campus will provide the foundation for a lifetime of success.

Are you ready to take on the challenge and become part of a community of future leaders? Join our Counselor-in-Training Leadership Program and start your journey toward becoming a confident, skilled, and inspiring camp counselor!

CITs are an integral part of our programming, helping to bridge the gap between camper and counselor. In recognition of their hard work CITs are paid a $50 stipend at the end of each session.
