☀ Alexandria Children’s Theatre – The Magic of Musical Theater!

Sing, dance, and act this summer with ACT! Instructor Will Anderson arrives from New York City to guide campers through every aspect of theatrical performance. Each camper receives a featured role in a musical skit, a compilation of beloved musical theater songs woven into an original story created just for this program. Whether campers are seasoned performers or stepping onstage for the first time, they’ll stretch new skills and discover the thrill of storytelling. With live piano accompaniment, each session culminates in a summer show that feels like a burst of Broadway magic.

*All experience levels are welcome. Each two-week session performs a different skit, making this camp perfect for anyone eager to perform, even if it’s their very first time on stage!

☀ MakerSpace Magic

FEE: $1147.50

This class will introduce students to all of the various tools and modules in Burgundy’s MakerSpace. Students will learn some basic woodworking skills and techniques, learn how to use 3D printers to create prototypes and final products, and learn how to use various CNC machines like a laser engraver and CriCut machine to make simple projects like signs and keychains. In addition to learning the essentials of proper tool safety and maintenance, students will also learn how to use various CAD programs that each machine and/or tool requires. Over the course of the 2 weeks, students will complete one main project and several smaller projects. During the second week of the camp, each student will design and make a CO2 cartridge powered race car to compete in Burgundy Farm Summer Day Camps own racing event – the Burgundy Derby!

*Parents will be invited to watch the Burgundy Derby at the end of the session!

☀ Burgundy Outdoors 

FEE: $1237.50

Grab your sleeping bag, check your compass, and get ready for an adventure! This nature adventure camp program is all about exploring ecology and environmental sciences, challenging yourself to step outside your comfort zone, practicing teamwork, and building self-confidence in your outdoor skills. Learn how to orient yourself in the wild using a map and compass, pick the perfect campsite and pitch your tent, hike the natural world, identify the wildlife you find, and have fun exploring the great outdoors!  Daily swimming lessons are included.

The major highlight of this program is the one-night camp out on our campus! Parents are invited to join their campers for a cookout dinner before our evening activities such as a pool party, campfire, and s’mores begin. This program is for the adventurous camper who is looking for more than a regular day camp experience!

Survivor Camp – BRAND NEW CAMP!

Survivor Camp plunges campers into an exciting, story-driven wilderness adventure! After a “hiking expedition” goes off course, campers discover they’re lost deep in the forest—and must work together to prepare for survival until rescue arrives. Throughout the week, they’ll learn how to build sturdy shelters, locate and purify water, forage for safe “food,” start a campfire, signal rescuers, and navigate the woods using only basic tools. This immersive, teamwork-powered experience challenges campers to problem-solve, stay calm under pressure, and think like true survivalists. Do you have what it takes to survive this camp?

Detective Adventure 

The game is afoot!  There is a mystery brewing at Burgundy and we need your help to solve it!  A special item belonging to the Burgundy Farm Summer Day Camp has gone missing, and there is no shortage of suspects on campus.  Will you and your team of Detectives be able to collect the clues, process the crime scene, question the suspects, and follow the trail of evidence to the guilty party?  Under the watchful eye of the Commanders of the Burgundy Farm Detective Bureau you will learn and practice the skills necessary to close the book on this case.  Are you up for the challenge?  Join us for Detective Adventure Camp and discover your inner Detective!  *All new story for summer 2026!

Gone Fishing  

Bait your hook, cast your line, and see if you can catch a lunker!  Burgundy is going fishing and you are invited to come and join the fun!  Learn the basics of fishing and then test your skills in Burgundy’s very own pond.  Campers will get to work hands-on with real fishing gear all while learning about local fish species, fishing safety, and having fun with friends while enjoying this great outdoor activity.  All fishing will be catch and release.  Don’t let this camp be the one that got away!

Nature Navigators  

This exciting, hands-on exploration camp is designed to capture all that is great about our general day camp and pack it into a half-day program. Nature walks, digging in the dirt, and working in the garden are just some of the activities that are special and unique to Burgundy. Campers will have fun on our beautiful campus while learning about nature, conservation, and outdoor hobbies. This program is designed to be a nice bridge for campers moving out of the Lower Division as well as a precursor to our very popular Burgundy Outdoors camp. Truly the best of what Burgundy has to offer!

Challenge Island Slimetopia 

Challenge Island STEAM Teams have been selected to host the new Slimetopia Diners, Drive-Thrus and Dives reality TV show! Prepare to embark on a cross-country culinary road trip to the slimiest eating establishments in the USA! With such instant Slimetopia classics as In and Out Burger Slime, Tex Mex Slime, King Cake Slime, Clam Chowder Slime and Peach Cobbler Ala Mode Slime, you’ll get an unforgettable “taste” of ooey, gooey local flavors from coast to coast.

Boolean Coding  

Have fun with coding.  Imagine, act, code! We use creative play and games to teach the basics of coding.  You imagine something… you act it out… you code it up. Using the Scratch programming language, our curriculum engages students and transforms them from computer users to creators by designing animated characters, games and interactive stories.  From beginners to students with prior coding experience, we teach the way kids learn best: through play, collaboration and imagination. In this camp we will be programming in Scratch, a program designed by MIT to teach kits to code.

NOVA Fencing and Archery 

Experience the thrill of two Olympic sports in one exciting camp! Learn the fundamentals of fencing, including footwork, bladework, and strategy, from experienced coaches. Discover the basics of archery with foam-tipped arrows in a safe and fun environment. No prior experience is necessary, and all equipment is provided. Join us for an unforgettable summer of sportsmanship and skill-building!

STARZ Gymnastics 

The STARZ gymnastics program is ideal for children that want to develop a solid foundation of gymnastics, while improving balance, coordination, rhythm and self-esteem! This camp is designed for children of all skill levels, whether they are learning how to do their first forward roll, practicing their cartwheels and handstands, or starting to learn handsprings! Our gymnastics camp provides a nurturing and comfortable environment, with the main focus being safety and F-U-N!

☀ Super Spies  

The Burgundy Farm Summer Day Camp needs your help!!  The evil corporation, Sentinel Corporation and Manufacturing (SCAM), has planted a MOLE at Burgundy.  New Secret Agent recruits will receive  on the job training from their handlers as they work together to figure out who the MOLE is, and what they are up to.  Junior Agents will  not only learn the craft of espionage, but also participate in Physical Training (PT) via swimming and recess time as well as general team-building skills.  After creating their covers, backstories, codenames, and disguises, and practicing working together as a team, the Agents, at the direction of their handlers, will be ready to delve into the world of espionage to discover who the double agent is.  It’s up to you to save Burgundy from the evil plans of SCAM and the MOLE!!  *All new story for summer 2026!

☀ Camp Creative – BRAND NEW CAMP!  

Unleash your imagination and tell your story at our Creative Writing & Zines Camp! Designed to nurture and grow your campers’ creative side, this camp invites young writers and artists to explore creative writing, poetry, zine-making, and mixed-media storytelling in a fun, supportive environment. Campers will learn about the writing process—from brainstorming and drafting to revising and sharing—while creating one-of-a-kind projects that reflect their own voice, style, and ideas. Whether they love words, drawings, comics, or collage, every camper will find a creative outlet and leave with work they’re proud of. Along the way, campers will also enjoy all the classic joys of summer camp, including time outdoors, daily swimming, and beloved camp traditions—making this the perfect blend of creativity, confidence-building, and summertime fun.

☀ Fantastic Photography  

Learn the basics of working with a digital camera while completing cool projects and competing in fun games using the camera. Capture the excitement of summer camp as seen through the camera lens.  Photograph our beautiful natural campus, create stop animation shorts, and work with your fellow campers to capture the excitement of camp at Burgundy! Cameras will be provided by Burgundy. Camp does include some computer screen time as campers work with their photos to complete their projects. All of your camper’s photos will come home on their own USB drive.  No experience required.  Say “cheese”!

☀ SPARK Chain Reaction Engineers – BRAND NEW CAMP!

Let’s learn about Rube Goldberg machines! In this hands-on program, campers build a variety of complex contraptions to complete a simple task—such as ringing a bell—while learning the basic physics concepts of work, gravity, force and momentum.  Using simple machines like levers, wedges, wheels, axles, pulleys and inclined planes, campers learn to understand mechanical concepts in a fun way, while using their imagination!

☀ Nexplore Drones – BRAND NEW CAMP! 

Everyone wants to fly a drone and this program is the perfect introduction. Students learn how to safely and accurately maneuver a drone through interactive steering, control, and racing challenges. Beyond only flying the drone, students will learn about machine maintenance and important technological principles that they can apply anywhere. They’ll take their drones through trick flight shows, deliveries, and even rescue missions. By combining science and art, this course cultivates a strong STEAM foundation in students!

☀ Excite Soccer 

Children will be encouraged to develop their mental, physical, and social abilities through creative Soccer/sports games and other activities taught by one of Burgundy Farm Camps Favorite Coach Scott Currie! Coach Scott will be entering his 5th Summer working the Soccer Camp at Burgundy Farms and is a master when working with young children.  Participants will learn individual skills, teamwork, and most importantly, have fun!  Our emphasis is on mastering basic coordination and agility with and without a soccer ball, as well as on providing a confidence-building environment. In addition to the above games/activities Campers will also play in small sided soccer scrimmages through the course of each day at Camp.

☀ STARZ Dance  

Our co-ed Starz Dance Camp provides an exciting environment for children to explore their dance interests! Our program includes a variety of dance styles, such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary. Our dance camp provides students with coordination, balance, and rhythm building skills, as well as the opportunity to work together with friends to create their own routines. Campers will also participate in teamwork building games and Freestyle dance activities. The Starz Program dance camp is perfect for children of all skill levels that are creative, curious, and love moving to music!
